DAY-USE PARKS:

​

Leffingwell Landing: at the north end of Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria. Offers magnificent coastline views, picnic tables, tidepools, restrooms, and beach access. *805.927.2010

Shamel Park: 5455 Windsor Blvd, Cambria. Shamel Park has a large protected grassy area, playground, horseshoe pit, picnic tables, and BBQs for day use. Swimming pool open in summer. *805.781.5930

​

San Simeon Cove: Six miles north of Cambria and across the road from Hearst Castle. William R. Hearst State Beach. Wide sandy beach, picnic area, public restrooms, pier fishing.

 

Cerro Alto: One mile off Highway 41 between Atascadero and Morro Bay. 22 primitive sites, updated pit toilets, hiking. No reservations.

 

El Chorro: between San Luis Obispo & Morro Bay on Highway 1 across from Cuesta College. 26 camp sites, restrooms, hot showers. No reservations.
